What students of 2014 Do or Don't Know.

First off I just want to say WOW someone actually put together a list of 75 things that the graduating class of 2014 know or don't. So now I'm suppose to talk about the ones I found shocking and just plain......how to describe........you can't. Some of these were just too.....bla......its like trying to make a cookie with wood.....Painful no matter what. So let the bashing of the heads commence. (Sorry could not resist.)

When you first read the page there is this little statistic thing saying most students that are just entering college were born in 1992. My first reaction was wow I was born that year too, then I thought. Then it went on to list these people I don't know much about and it states that we have always seen them as dead. Well they are dead NOW but they were alive at some point in time.

Okay now to serious stuff, if you believe that Clint Eastwood is better known as a sensitive director then as Dirty Harry you people need serious help. I mean really I can't think of one move where he is not shooting or hitting someone.  Also if you believe that Al Gore has always been animated you need help. Not as much as you would need with the Dirty Harry one but pretty close.

Now for the questions??????? Do people really not understand that Fergie is a pop singer, and not a princess?? My real question is where get this question even come from? Oh and do people really still have there Beanie Baby collection? And if so is trading chocolate the moose for patti the platypus really going to help you build that collection??? Also the one that really makes you think is  number 73. Silicone-gel breast implants have always been regulated. Is this true or false cause personally I think this is just sad that it made it on the list.

Here are the ones that I just want to bash my head in. DNA fingerprinting and maps of the human genome have always existed.  Come on really. This one just made me ashamed to be a 2014 graduate. An other one that I cannot believe is on this list is Czechoslovakia has never existed.  If you believe this you need to go back to fourth grade.

Well thats all I have to say for now on this list. We might come back to it later though.

  1. Ba ha ha ha ha! Yours was by far my favorite! You're such an opinionated person who clearly isn't afraid to say what you feel! I couldn't agree more with the majority of your comments...especially the beanie baby one! (:

  2. Are you being serious or is this a joke? I cant tell, so I wont comment to hardcore. I agree Al Gore should never be remembered as "animated". Thats just stupid!

  3. I loved your introduction! You are so sarcastic and funny! The Beanie Baby part was the best. I hate to say this, but I have heard of people still trading those darn things. They just won't go away.

  4. Definitely agree with the Beanie Baby part too. I don't even recall knowing anyone who traded them. I think the statement about DNA is probably a generation too soon. It is still a new enough thing that teachers will still talk about not having it all along.

  5. The Clint Eastwood thing is definitely true! Anyone who doesn't know that he was Dirty Harry first needs to watch more movies.

  6. Yeah, the people who were writing this list were trying to be funny with most of these comments and it did not really work.

  10. It is very interesting to see everyone's take on what the list meant to them. I understood it as in your lifetime the human genome has always been mapped and silicone breast implants weren't always regulated, but they were before you were born.
